I have a 56 Ford Focus 1.6TDCi which I bought 18 months ago with 62K on the clock, I had a Ford main dealer service done at 75K (inc. additive for fuel tank) now I am up to 83K (I regularly drive round the M25 to Slough) the only thing I have not replaced is the DPF, looking on Google the advice seems to be unless you have an issue this is not

I've resently had the 'Engine Malfunction' light appear and the EML with the P2584 code (fuel additive control module) and sure enough on inspection I've found my Eloys tank to be empty! I've refilled it and reset the EML but the Engine Malfuntion light and bleeper still operate so think I will try my skills next with the 'Forscan' software.

I have fitted a friends tuning box on my 1.6 Zetec Focus TDCI (59 reg). The Tuning box is a Rover Ron taken off a Mondeo Zetec S TDCI. It works fine on the Mondeo. For some reason, when I plug it onto mine, an Engine Malfuntion Warning Signal appears and it puts the car into limp mode.

I have a Ford Mondeo Titanium 2.0 litre engine, TDCI, 58 registered. I bought it just 2 months ago from my friend who had it as a company car. I believe it was well maintained with required servicing. But now I encountered a problem. I am rather new to Ford cars, so I would appreciate any your help with the following issue.
The codes are there to aid with diagnosing the fault and what is crucially important to understand is that the code is alerting you to a condition that the sensor is reporting on. Your particular fault P00BC is pointing you to the air intake, or Induction system and can be as simple as a clogged air filter, or an air leak.
Got a similar problem. 09 1.6 TDCi. Engine malfunction. Can't scan the car. Dash shows U2510 and U1900. Re soldered Dash connector. 60 ohms at OBD connector. Fuses all good. PATS led is saying 1:6 Checked power and grounds at PCM connector. All good. Canbus signals good at PCM. Car behaves same even when PCM is unplugged.
I have a 2008 Fiesta 1.6 TDCi. Today, my Engine Malfunction Light came on. Car feels absolutely fine, no limp mode, no loss of power. I put and EGR blanking plate on 8th of June on the car, drove it without a single issue. When connected to a OBD reader it says that everything is fine and I have no codes whatsoever. I have a 2006 Focus 1.6 TDCi Zetec and recently it's developed an annoying problem. What happens is that, when driving at a constant speed with my foot lightly on the throttle, typically at just below 1500 rpm, the engine judders / jerks almost as if the fuel is getting to it in little packets rather than a constant flow. The second most notable occasion when such a scenario happened was when the Ford Focus models built between 2012 and 2014 also experienced the same problem. It was more common in models with the 2.0 liter engine in this scenario. A warning message stating engine malfunction service now at times also accompanied the problem in later models.
Focus 1.6 tdci titanium , year :2010 126k miles it has had a recent oil change and belts are done , no bad smells or noise and it seems to sound ok .
